US homebuilder Megatel Homes is set to launch a crypto rewards platform after receiving a Securities and Exchange Commission “no-action” letter.Megatel said on Thursday that the platform, dubbed MegPrime, would give users rewards for using “MP Tokens,” such as using them to pay their rent to earn back tokens that can be used for “everyday purchases” or converted to US dollars. The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to graduate 16,506 undergraduate and postgraduate students at its 56th convocation ceremony, scheduled to hold from 19 January to 23 January. According to the university Vice-Chancellor, Folasade Ogunsola, a professor, 709 of the graduating students finished with a first class honours and distinction for postgraduate students. Domestic supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from the Dangote Refinery rose by almost 65 per cent in December 2025, helping to boost Nigeria’s overall petrol availability, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has said. According to the NMDPRA’s December 2025 Factsheet Report released on Thursday, the Dangote Refinery increased its PMS domestic supply from 19.47 million litres per day (ml/d) in November 2025 to an average of 32.012ml/d in December, approaching its initial supply plan of 50ml/d for the month. The federal government has established a National Task Force on Clinical Governance and Patient Safety to strengthen clinical oversight, prevent medical errors, and improve patient safety across Nigeria. Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (Rtd), has explained why no physical remains of terrorists were recovered following recent United States airstrikes in Nigeria, saying the nature of the weapons used made that impossible. Lagos State Taskforce has stepped up enforcement operations across the metropolis, targeting street urchins popularly referred to as Omotaku, who are accused of loitering around major roads and traffic corridors to harass and extort motorists, particularly during vehicle breakdowns. The agency disclosed that no fewer than 281 suspected Omotaku members were arrested within the past week during coordinated clean-up exercises across key locations in the state.
