South Africa has pushed back against Ghana’s request for a debate at the upcoming African Union summit on xenophobic attacks against African nationals, saying it already acted against recent xenophobic violence. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has said it will officially launch a digital drone regulation portal during the 6th Africa International Drone Technology Conference and Exhibition (DroneTecX 2026) scheduled to hold in Lagos next week. A chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Saturday urged the Nigerian government to adequately compensate activist Abubakar Idris Dadiyata and his family if he is still alive. Kwankwaso was reacting to a report that Dadiyata was killed by some police officers in Kaduna State.
