Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday refused to address journalists after appearing before the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship screening committee at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge in Abuja. The Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, was at the weekend thrown into a state of mourning following the discovery of the lifeless body of a 100-level student of the institution. The body of the deceased, identified as Favour Olaniyi, was found inside a bush along the North Gate of the institution. Troops of Sector 2 Joint Task Force, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have sustained offensive operations across Katsina State, neutralising three suspected terrorists, recovering 175 rustled livestock, and dismantling a drug trafficking ring in coordinated operations.
