The South-West Development Commission (SWDC) has inaugurated an Action Committee tasked with turning TransComs, its rural transformation programme, from concept into delivery, executing pilot projects and laying the groundwork for regional-scale-up within 180 days across the region. The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have reaffirmed the suspension of the indefinite nationwide strike earlier scheduled to commence on May 11. The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has confirmed that missing NYSC member and lawyer, Linda  Ameh, has been found days after she was reportedly abducted in Abuja.
