Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed four Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters and arrested one during an ongoing military operation in the Timbuktu Triangle. Sources told Zagazola Makama that the troops, operating under Brigade Group I (25 Brigade Guards/19 Battalion), engaged the terrorists around 1:15 pm on May 5 in the Multe area. “During the firefight, four terrorists were neutralised while one was captured alive,” the report stated. Human rights organisation, Amnesty International has condemned the killing of five people by armed political thugs in Kano on Tuesday, describing the incident as part of what it called the biggest surge in political violence in recent years.
