The Lagos State House of Assembly has suspended the planned demolition of houses and structures in Makoko area of the state. Majority Leader of the House, Noheem Adams made this declaration via a statement on Tuesday. Bauchi State Police are investigating the death of two children who drowned while swimming in a river on the outskirts of the city. The incident was reported in a post shared on X on Tuesday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama. According to the post, the victims, Saminu Mohammed, 12, and Tanimu Danladi, 11, both from Gudum Sayawa, went to the river on Monday, around 4:30 p.m., when they tragically got drowned.
