The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), Ikpeme Ikpeme, says the 850-bed hospital is overstretched, as it currently serves over five million patients. Mr Ikpeme, a professor, disclosed this on Friday during a media tour of the facility to showcase ongoing renovations and facelift in the hospital. The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, has declared a warning strike over the assault of two doctors at the hospital’s Emergency Department.
