The Nigerian Army has rescued six abducted civilians in Ngoshe community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, following ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the North-East. The victims, comprising women and children, were rescued in the early hours of May 1, 2026, around Amuda, a deserted area between Ngoshe and Gava known for terrorist movement. Panic gripped traders and commuters on Thursday after a truck rammed into multiple vehicles at Ganmo Market along the Ilorin–Ajase-Ipo Federal Highway in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. The crash, described by eyewitnesses as devastating, involved no fewer than seven vehicles, including a truck, two private cars, two tricycles, a motorcycle, and a commercial shuttle bus.
