One soldier has been killed and another injured after troops of the 34 Artillery Brigade were ambushed by suspected terrorists in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo state. The incident was disclosed by security analyst, Zagazola Makama in a post on his X platform on Tuesday. According to security sources quoted by Makama, the attack occurred at about 12:53 p.m. on May 4 along the SPDC–Etekuru road, where the troops had been deployed to assess a burnt Hilux vehicle. At least five persons were killed on Sunday night when gunmen ambushed residents in Fan District, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, fuelling fresh tension in the area.
