Lagos State Parking Authority has announced plans to introduce paid parking on designated streets across the state, with implementation expected before the end of 2026. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ogun State Command, has arrested 210 suspects for offences ranging from vandalism to fraud and illegal mining in the last one and a half years. The State Commandant, Mrs Remilekun Ekundayo, disclosed this during a familiarisation visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ogun Council in Abeokuta on Wednesday. Some gunmen have reportedly abducted a Fulani herdsman based in Ijebu Jesa, Osun State, identified as Yahaya Sulaiman. The abductors, it was learnt, have demanded a sum of N70m ransom before his release.
