He’s also the creator of the noir podcast Unlicensed and Alice Isn’t Dead, which takes some of the conspiratorial cosmic horror of Night Vale and turns it into fodder for a more serious series about relationships, trauma, and the open road. There’s also a sequel series out now called Don’t Tell Alice that takes the story down an even darker path in which protagonist Keisha is the one with a secret.Joseph is also an accomplished author. World celebrated country music icon, the late Dolly Parton. [PHOTO CREDIT: Official X handle of Dolly Parton] Parton was a beautiful storyteller, writer and composer with ten Grammy Awards from fifty-five nominations. Her songs transcend generations and will transcend more. On 25 August, Dolly, at 80, stopped singing for mortals. She had done her bit and bequeathed us wealth we never asked for and may not really deserve. In death, the world stood up for her. Her greatness was undisputed and there were no dissenting voices or off-key choruses. Dolly Parton gave us a coat of many colours, but we…

Real Madrid coach José Mourinho has questioned the criteria for awarding the Ballon d’Or, arguing that the prize should not be given to a player simply because he won the Champions League or World Cup. Mourinho, speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s LaLiga clash against Málaga, said the award should go to a player whose impact on the game would be remembered long after retirement. “It’s a very beautiful individual achievement that enters the individual history of a particular player. And I think it’s normal for there to be candidates—there aren’t many, about a dozen top-level players, among whom we have…

That’s probably why I’ve fallen in love with trapeze dresses. This unique dress style fits narrow at the shoulders, then flares out into a wide A-line cut resembling a tent. The resulting styles are simple but have dramatic movement and are, frankly, so fun to wear. Most people save their trapeze dresses for vacation, but they can — and should — be worn year-round.…

Oshun Division was created in 1951, the same year in which the Egbe Omo Oduduwa gave birth to the Action Group. The two developments were closely connected to the political reorganisation then taking place in the Western Region. The new division created a political space in which the people of the Osun country could organise and speak more directly for themselves, while the emerging Action Group provided a political vehicle through which the wider aspirations of the movement could be realised. Osun State was created thirty-five years ago, but what if I told you the state was born, indirectly, from…
