The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has announced that Terminal 1 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos, will be closed from March 2026 to enable a comprehensive overhaul of the facility. FAAN said the shutdown, expected to last approximately 22 months, is to facilitate major rehabilitation and expansion works aimed at modernising the ageing terminal and significantly improving its passenger handling capacity. Oyo State Police Command on Wednesday arrested seven suspects in connection with murder, cultism and other criminal activities across the state. A statement released by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, in Ibadan, the state capital, said the suspects were arrested in different locations in the state.
