Senegal to host 2026 Beach Soccer AFCON 

Senegal will host the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, the Confederation of African Football, CAF, announced on Monday. It will be the second time the West Africans will be hosting the competition. Senegal hosted the 2021 edition of the tournament. The competition will also serve as the qualifiers for the 2027 Beach Soccer World Cup. Eight teams will participate in the biennial tournament. CAF is expected to announce the date for the qualifiers in due course.

World Gymnastics on Monday lifted restrictions imposed on Russians and Belarusians competing after the invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
