The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says Kano has recorded the highest number of people who revalidated their voter cards in northern Nigeria. Security forces in Kano State have launched a manhunt for suspected armed bandits following the abduction of four persons in Karaye Local Government Area of the state. The Borno State Police Command says it is on the manhunt for a suspect, Abdulsalam Adakwaki, who is alleged to have raped a five-year-old girl in the State Low-Cost area of Maiduguri, the state capital.
