Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Nasarawa North Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general election. Musa Shuaibu-Guri, Chairman of the committee for the conduct of the APC Nasarawa North Senatorial primary announced the result on Wednesday in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state. The Peace Corps of Nigeria, PCN has expressed grave concerns over the continued invasion of educational institutions by bandits across the country with callous abductions of innocent pupils and teachers for ransom purposes. At least four people have been confirmed dead after a Golf Wagon conveying about 10 passengers crashed into Tomas Dam in Danbatta Local Government Area of Kano State. No fewer than two persons lost their lives in a fatal road accident which occurred at Ijapo area of Akure, the Ondo State capital on Wednesday. The accident involved a Nissan car with registration number Ondo WWW 322 TA, a truck which has no registration number and a motorcycle. Two other victims of the accident sustained injury. The World Health Organisation on Wednesday said the risk of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s deadly Ebola outbreak was currently high at the national and regional levels but low worldwide.
