Barau FC head coach Eugene Agabe has praised his players for their performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 23 encounter against Bendel Insurance, DAILY POST reports.
The Maliya Boys held Kennedy Boboye’s side to a 0-0 draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, on Thursday.
Barau FC moved to 15th position in the table following the stalemate, easing their relegation worries.
Agabe said the players adhered strictly to his tactics which aided the positive outcome.
“It isn’t easy to pick up points away from home, but surely the players obeyed my tactics, and that’s why we got something here (in Benin City),” the gaffer said after the game.
The Kano-based club are now unbeaten in their last four league games.
