Former Manchester United player, Nani snubbed Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi on his choice of the greatest football player of all time.
He chose Brazilian player named Ronaldinho as his favorite footballer.
Speaking to ESPN, Nani snubbed his countryman and former teammate, Ronaldo when asked to name the best finisher of all time, choosing Brazilian legend, Romario.
He quickly said Messi is the best play maker ever, and he also chose Nemanja Vidic, as best defender ever and Michel Preud’homme as the best goalkeeper ever.
The former Manchester United player also did not choose Messi or Ronaldo as the best dribbler of all time, instead opting for Denílson.
The big surprise in the fast-paced round happened with the last question, where he was asked to name the greatest footballer of all time, and he chose Ronaldinho instead of Messi or Ronaldo.
Nani had asked fans in 2025 to stop arguing about Messi and Ronaldo and instead appreciate the players while they are still active in the game.
After Al-Nassr’s star player signed an extension, he spoke to the media and said via GOAL, “He’s a machine, he’s a different player, and you can tell by the level he’s reached in football.”
“We often talk about Ronaldo and Messi a lot, but when they stop playing, football will never be the same again.
Nani played 130 times for his club and country with Cristiano Ronaldo, and they scored 14 goals together.
He has played against Lionel Messi five times, lost three of the games and won two of them.
