Nigerian sprinter Godson Brume has pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm while in the United States on a non-immigrant visa, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The fourth-fastest man in Nigeria’s history faces up to 15 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, three years of supervised release, and possible deportation once his sentence is completed.
According to Track and Field Gazette, the incident occurred in February 2025 in Baton Rouge.
