Former Tottenham Hotspur striker, Darren Bent, has picked Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi as the player that deserves to win the 2023 Ballon d’Or.
Messi will compete with the likes of Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe for this year’s Ballon d’Or.
The winner of the award will be announced in October.
When asked who he feels deserved to win the top individual award, Bent simply picked Messi.
