Results of Saturday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, matches are out.
DAILY POST reports that Senegal defeated Sudan 3-1 in the AFCON Round of 16 tie to qualify for the quarter-final.
Also, Mali needed a penalty shoot-out to beat Tunisia in the other Round of 16 clash played on Saturday.
The match between Mali and Tunisia had ended in a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.
Mali will now face Senegal in the last-8 clash in the coming days.
Meanwhile, more AFCON Round of 16 fixtures will be played today, Sunday, as Morocco will take on Tanzania.
South Africa will tackle Cameroon in the other last-16 tie on Sunday night at the Agdal Medina Stadium, Rabat.
