Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem has spoken on the on-field clash between his teammates Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.
Osimhen had clashed with Lookman during Nigeria’s AFCON Round of 16 4-0 win against Mozambique on Monday.
Speaking to reporters at his post-match interview after the match, Awaziem insisted both of his teammates want to score, describing Osimhen and Lookman as fighters.
The Nantes star, however, insisted that the issue between his teammates has been resolved and Eric Chelle’s men are now focused on their next game in the quarter-finals.
“All I can say is that it is a football thing, you know, everyone wants to win. If Victor wants to win, Victor’s a fighter. Ademola is a fighter. Ndidi is a fighter. Everyone is a fighter. Akor, I mean, everyone wants the ball to score.” Awaziem said.
“Everyone wants to win at any time. So I think it is just a football thing. So and now the issue has been solved. Everyone is cool.
“Victor is cool. Ademola is cool. Ndidi is cool. Everyone is good. So we just focus on the next game now. We don’t have no issues with us.”
