The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, has declared that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is his new party, stressing that he is leaving the PDP due to divisions within the party.
Amaewhule made the declaration on Friday during plenary when he defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside 15 other lawmakers.
He said he would do everything necessary to ensure that his APC membership card is issued promptly.
