Tensions have emerged within the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano State as party Chairman Abdullahi Abbas reportedly clashed with Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Attah, over the minister’s public comments on party matters.
The crisis is said to have started after Attah allegedly endorsed Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau as the APC’s preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Kano.
