The office of the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has dismissed a report in the media which claimed that he had declared his intention to contest for the governorship seat of Abia State in 2027.
Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker, Levinus Nwabugbiogu, who issued the statement on Sunday, said that Kalu was only focused on his four-year mandate of representing Bende Federal constituency and Nigerians at large.
