Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has affirmed that he has strong grassroots structures and dedicated supporters capable of fully backing President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
He revealed that mobilisation efforts for Tinubu are already about 70 percent complete across the state.
While commissioning the 9.7km Ogbakiri Road project, the governor assured the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of his extensive grassroots network and loyal followers.
He added that his confidence is reinforced by the warm reception and support observed during project commissioning activities across various parts of Rivers State.
Fubara called on citizens to uphold their political responsibilities following Wednesday’s engagement with the APC national leadership, urging them to rally behind President Tinubu.
Describing the Ogbakiri Road as a landmark achievement of his administration, he noted that the project was initiated during one of the most challenging periods of his tenure.
The governor recalled that the first tranche of payment for the project was made even when a court ruling halted the Federal Government from releasing statutory allocations to Rivers State.
He emphasised that the key success was delivering the road as promised despite the obstacles faced.
Fubara also pledged to assess the cost of extending internal roads in the area and connecting the newly commissioned road to Degema through a proposed bridge.
