With all sense of modesty, many just got to know of Eruku after the disturbing video of the attack, which led to deaths and abduction of some worshippers at a branch of Christ Apostolic Church in the town by Fulani ethnic militia.
That the attack was on a church emboldened the claims and argument of a genocide against Christians in Nigeria, but it was just an unfortunate happenstance.
