Some activists and human rights lawyers have asked the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, to apologise to the Ijaw nation for making inflammatory comments against them.
Wike had reportedly said that the Ijaw people “were a minority in Rivers and other South-South states except Bayelsa”.
The statement came amid the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, with Wike and Governor Sim Fubara at the center of the feud.
