Sudan’s army on Friday said that it had recaptured the Republican Palace in Khartoum from the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, RSF.
This comes after nearly two years of fighting between both sides.
In a post on the social platform X, Khaled al-Aiser, Sudan’s information minister, confirmed that the military had retaken the palace.
“Today the flag is raised, the palace is back, and the journey continues until victory is complete,” he wrote.
