Senate condemns data price hike, urges FG to intervene

The Senate on Wednesday condemned the increase in the cost of mobile data and called on the federal government to engage telecommunications providers in order to review the pricing and make internet services more affordable for Nigerians.

The upper chamber also urged the Federal Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Economy to develop a policy framework to ensure sustainable and fair pricing for internet services across the country.
