Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday hosted the Director-General of the Annual Investment Meeting, AIM, Congress, Mr Walid Farghal, at Lagos House, Marina.
The governor described the engagement as productive, noting that discussions focused on priority sectors where Lagos is seeking increased global capital inflows.
He identified technology, infrastructure and the creative economy as key areas with strong potential for high-impact investments.
“Our primary goal remains to ensure Lagos provides a conducive environment for high-impact investments,” Sanwo-Olu said.
“We are committed to positioning the state to benefit more effectively from global capital flows.”
The meeting emphasises the Lagos State Government’s ongoing efforts to deepen international partnerships and promote the state as a preferred investment hub on the African continent.
The AIM Congress, which takes place annually in Dubai, is a major global platform that brings together governments, investors and business leaders to facilitate cross-border investment opportunities.
Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence in the prospects of the collaboration, noting that it was “always encouraging to engage with partners who recognise the same energy and promise in Lagos that we witness every day.”
