Three states – Rivers, Benue, and Akwa Ibom – top the chart in the latest HIV spectrum estimates obtained from the National Agency for the Control of AIDS.
Over two million people are reported to be currently living with HIV across Nigeria.
The report stated that the 2024 HIV prevalence by states showed that Rivers has the highest number of people living with HIV, with 208,767 recorded cases.
