The Vatican on Tuesday said the body of Pope Francis will be taken to St. Peter’s Basilica on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. (0700 GMT).
In a statement, the Vatican said the pontiff’s body is currently laid out in a coffin in the chapel of the Santa Marta residence, where he lived during his 12-year papacy.
