Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone in Freetown ahead of his rescheduled beach concert tied to the ongoing AFCON 2025 festivities.
The visit is part of Davido’s 5ive Alive World Tour, with the singer describing Sierra Leone as his “second home” and assuring fans of a future stadium concert in the country.
Davido recalled his 2017 performance in Sierra Leone, which he said attracted over 50,000 fans.
President Bio welcomed the artiste warmly, noting the excitement generated by his visit and the anticipation surrounding the concert.
Photos from the meeting have since sparked reactions online, with fans highlighting Davido’s growing global profile following similar high-level engagements this year with Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu and France’s President Emmanuel Macron.
