Courts across Kogi State were shut on Thursday as the state chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) commenced an indefinite strike over unpaid salary arrears and leave bonuses, halting legal proceedings throughout the state.
The union stated that its decision followed the state government’s alleged failure to fulfil commitments made nearly two months ago regarding the payment of October 2024 salary arrears and the 2025 leave bonus.
