Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the dualisation of the Argungu old bypass road, describing the level of work on the project as impressive.
The governor made the remarks on Tuesday during an inspection of the ongoing dual-lane road construction and streetlight installation in Argungu town, Argungu Local Government Area.
Idris recalled that the contract for the project was awarded on October 18, 2024, as part of his administration’s commitment to delivering on campaign promises and improving infrastructure across Kebbi State.
Speaking on site, the governor said, “I must confess that I am satisfied with what I have seen on the ground. I commend the contractor and the Ministry of Works for their effective supervision of the project. I also commend the people of Argungu for their support and co-operation with the contractor, which has ensured the smooth execution of the project.”
He further urged residents of Kebbi State to continue supporting his administration to enable more development projects and the delivery of additional dividends of democracy.
In response, the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Abdullahi Muslim, expressed gratitude to the governor for his support, assuring that the ministry would deliver a high-quality project within the contract specifications and timeframe.
“Your Excellency, we assure you that, ‘In-Sha-Allah,’ we will deliver a quality job and ensure that the project meets the contract specification and stipulated timeframe,” the commissioner said.
The dualisation project, which includes streetlight installation, is part of Idris’ broader plan to enhance road networks and improve urban infrastructure across the state.
