Kano Commissioner denies ordering arrests of journalists

Kano State Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has refuted claims that he ordered the arrest of two journalists accused of publishing defamatory content against him.

Speaking during a Ramadan Iftar event organized in collaboration with the Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Waiya clarified that the individuals were only invited for questioning by the police.
