Israel has announced its decision to withdraw from the United Nations Human Rights Council, UNHRC.
Disclosing this via X on Wednesday, Israel’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa’ar, said his country would follow the United States’ lead and leave the UNHRC.
Sa’ar accused the council of providing sanctions for abusers of human rights, “allowing them to hide from scrutiny, and instead obsessively demonising the one democracy in the Middle East – Israel.”
