Tony Perkins, a popular American TV show host, says he declined giving Nigerian First Lady, Remi Tinubu request to use his platform to cover up alleged genocide against Nigerian Christians.
In a viral video, sighted by DAILY POST on Sunday night, the broadcaster revealed that the First Lady approached him to discuss religious freedom issues in the country but he declined the request.
He spoke while hosting Chris Smith, a US lawmaker during Washington Watch.
Mr Perkins accused the President Bola Tinubu government of move to cover up the killing of innocent Nigerian Christians.
According to him, Remi Tinubu came to the studio, intending to “come on the programme to talk about religious freedom, and I said, ‘I’m not gonna meet with them’”.
The broadcaster vowed that he is never going to “give them a platform to cover up what they’re doing in Nigeria.”
DAILY POST reports that despite the pushback by the Federal Government that there is no genocide against any religion, some lawmakers in the US have insisted that Christians are being targeted.
