An early morning fire has destroyed at least 44 shops and stores at the popular Singa Market in Kano State.
The incident, which occurred around 5:00 a.m. on Monday, was confirmed in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fire Service, ACFO Saminu Yusif Abdullahi on Monday night.
According to the statement, the agency received an emergency call from Mubarak Muhammad, who alerted the central control room about the fire outbreak.
