The Sokoto State Ministry of Animal Health and Fishery Development has announced that it has successfully vaccinated 95% of livestock across the state to prevent the spread of anthrax and other animal diseases.
Dr. Nasiru Abdulrahaman, the Director of Veterinary Services, disclosed this in an interview with journalists while addressing the state’s preparedness against a possible anthrax outbreak from neighboring Zamfara State, where two cases have been confirmed.
