Abandoned telecom masts threaten lives, property in Calabar

The Chairman of Calabar Municipality, Mayor James Anam, has sounded the alarm over the growing threat posed by abandoned telecommunication masts across the city.

DAILY POST reports that some officials the masts have already collapsed, injuring residents and destroying multi-million Naira properties.

Of particular concern is a 20-year-old abandoned mast behind the Cross River State Headquarters of the Nigerian Correctional Service along IBB Way.
