Troops under Operation MESA have rescued three of the five residents abducted during a recent attack on a community in Kano State, security officials have confirmed.
The victims were taken during an overnight raid on Lakwaya village in Gwarzo Local Government Area.
The attackers, believed to be bandits, struck under the cover of darkness and escaped with five people, throwing the area into fear.
