Nigerian troops operating in various theatres of operation have successfully repelled a terrorist ambush in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, neutralized several insurgents, and rescued kidnapped victims during a week-long series of coordinated offensives nationwide.
According to the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Markus Kangye, the ambush was met with a fierce firefight, after which troops subdued the attackers and recovered weapons.
