Gunmen attacked the Awgu Divisional Police Headquarters in Enugu State in the early hours of Monday killing Constable Akpa Emmanuel and destroying facilities at the station.
The assailants, security sources told our correspondent, made off with several weapons, including an AK-47 rifle and two riot guns.
