The Plateau State Police Command has rescued the wife and one daughter of a pastor who was abducted from his home in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state.
The incident was contained in a post shared on X on Monday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.
According to Makama, the abduction happened around 12:20 a.m. on December 22 at Makudang Mangor village.
Zagazola Makama said that suspected kidnappers broke into the residence of Pastor Gayus Tashvwam of the COCIN LCC Church and took him away along with his wife and two daughters.
Following a report to the police, the Divisional Police Officer in Bokkos mobilised a joint team of police officers and local hunters.
While searching nearby bushes, the team successfully rescued the pastor’s wife and one of his daughters without injuries.
Security forces have since increased patrols in the area, and efforts are ongoing to rescue the pastor and the remaining daughter, as well as arrest the suspects.
