Police rescue 21 kidnapped victims, recover N4.8m in Q1

The Nigeria Police Force said it has intensified a crackdown on kidnapping, banditry, and violent crimes across the country, leading to the rescue of 21 kidnapped victims and the recovery of N4.8m paid as ransom.

A statement on Monday by the Force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the series of operations conducted nationwide in the first quarter of 2025 significantly disrupted criminal networks and strengthened security efforts.
