Police in Borno State have recovered gold said to be worth N23.6m which a woman buried in Mallamfatori, Abadam local government area 15 years ago while running from a Boko Haram attack.
According to the woman, she hid the gold in the sand before fleeing the town. She recently returned and reported the matter to the police, asking for help to find the items.
