Indication has emerged that 40 of the residents of some villages in Hong Local Government Area, who were abducted two years ago, have remained in captivity.
The affected villages: Kopre, Zah, Kinging, Mubang, and Dabna, said to have a combined population of 10,344, were attacked in 2023 by suspected Boko Haram insurgents who seized some of the residents, with many relocating to other towns, including nearby Hong, Gombi, Song, and Yola.
