A tragic fire that erupted on Tuesday night in Namoda Township, Zamfara State, has claimed the lives of 17 almajiris, leaving the community in deep mourning. The victims were laid to rest in a solemn funeral ceremony held in the town.
The fire, which began in a house next to the almajiri boarding school, rapidly spread to the children’s residence, trapping them inside. Several others were injured and rushed to the hospital for medical care.
