Taylor Swift called Justin Baldoni a “bitch” who got out his “tiny violin” in an alleged text exchange with Blake Lively.
According to documents obtained by Us Weekly, Lively’s lawyers filed a letter to Judge Lewis J. Liman on Tuesday, January 20, that showed a text message between Swift, 36, and Lively, 38, at the beginning of December 2024 which referenced the It Ends With Us director, 41, and the New York Times article that reported on harassment allegations lodged against him. The texts were filed as a response “to Baldoni’s legal team’s motion for summary judgement.”
The legal documents, which were filed as part of Lively’s unsealed deposition on Tuesday in her ongoing legal battle against Baldoni, included one text from Swift that read in part, “I think this bitch knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.”
Further texts also allegedly read, “If Justin was strategic, he would be like no Taylor Swift in the trailer because that gives you more power over the film, that’s your ally not his.”
Other messages saw Lively asking Swift, who was allegedly on her way to Lively’s home while Baldoni was present, to endorse a revised version of the It Ends With Us script. Swift allegedly replied, “I’ll do anything for you!!”
Later, Lively allegedly texted Swift that she was “so epically heroic today” and that she “recapped every moment” to husband Ryan Reynolds.

“I kept remembering stuff- You making s*** up about me and lenses,” Lively wrote. “And referring to yourself as my doll. This clown falling for all of it. But also resisting it. You are the world’s absolute greatest friend ever.”
According to a Tuesday report by People, Lively’s lawyers don’t argue “quoted language appears in the cited source,” they claim the messages do “not support Defendants’ assertion” that Lively and Swift “privately discussed the forthcoming New York Times article.”
Us Weekly has reached out to a representative for Baldoni, Swift and Lively for comment.

A member of Lively’s legal team Sigrid McCawley sent a statement to Us Weekly on Tuesday that addressed why Lively’s texts with Swift were included in her filing.
“As we head to trial, only Ms. Lively’s claims against the defendants remain. The Court dismissed Wayfarer’s retaliatory countersuit in its entirety last June,” the statement read. “The newly unsealed evidence contains never-before seen testimony, messages, and evidence from numerous eyewitnesses backing the claims in Ms. Lively’s lawsuit. The evidence includes Ms. Lively’s own testimony describing the harassment she faced, as well as new evidence from numerous women describing their own disturbing experiences.”

It continued, “The newly unsealed evidence shows the concerns of Ms. Lively and others were documented in real-time as early as Spring 2023, and Wayfarer understood them as “sexual harassment” concerns. The evidence also documents how Wayfarer refused to investigate, but instead attempted to “bury” Ms. Lively and others who spoke up through retaliation.”
Lively and Baldoni’s feud, which began on the It Ends With Us set in 2023 when the pair worked as costars under Baldoni’s direction, publicly ignited at the end of 2024 when Lively filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department and subsequently sued Baldoni over sexual harassment claims.
Baldoni denied all claims lodged against him and countersued Lively the following month, but the countersuit was dismissed in June 2025.

The legal battle saw the entrance of Swift, who was close friends with Lively at the time, within Lively’s initial lawsuit after she claimed that Baldoni named the pop star while discussing alleged takedown plans. In Baldoni’s countersuit, he also included Swift, claiming that Lively was the person who brought Swift into the drama.
Swift was subpoenaed in May 2025, with a rep telling Us Weekly in a statement at the time, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film. She did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.”
The subpoena against Swift was dropped for good by Judge Liman on September 13, 2025.
